Do all of the planes in the museum's collection still fly?

Most aircraft fly regularly and are seen at air shows throughout the country. The remaining aircraft are maintained in flyable condition, with the exception of a few vintage jet aircraft that are kept for static display only.

How much does a warbird cost?

Prices vary according to the type of plane and its condition. Aircraft restored to the conditions as seen at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum are especially prized by collectors. Needless to say, as physical reminders of our aviation heritage, these aircraft are priceless.

Which credit cards are accepted at the museum?

The museum accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover cards.

What days are the museum open/closed?

The museum is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The museum is closed on the following holidays: Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Can I have my child's birthday party at the museum?

Yes, you can. For rates and additional information call (972) 380-8800 x100.

How long does it take to go through the museum?

We recommend you allow 1½ to 2 hours.

Yes, at our physical Dallas/Addison location and online. Please see our Online Museum Store.

Do local hotels provide a shuttle or courtesy van service to the museum?

Some Addison hotels do offer courtesy van service to nearby locations. For more information about the Addison area, please see the About Addison page on this site. The related link, Addison! Texas is also an excellent resource.
