Do all of the planes in the museum's collection still fly?
Most aircraft fly regularly and are seen at air shows throughout the country. The remaining aircraft are maintained in flyable condition, with the exception of a few vintage jet aircraft that are kept for static display only.
Can I experience flight in a museum aircraft?
Yes. The Cavanaugh Flight Museum offers flight experiences over N. Dallas, in several of our warbird aircraft. For more information, visit our Flight Experience page on this site, or call (972) 380-8800.
How much does a warbird cost?
Prices vary according to the type of plane and its condition. Aircraft restored to the conditions as seen at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum are especially prized by collectors. Needless to say, as physical reminders of our aviation heritage, these aircraft are priceless.
Which credit cards are accepted at the museum?
The museum accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover cards.
What days are the museum open/closed?
The museum is open every day EXCEPT Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
